Types of Dental X-Rays
The most common x-ray is a bitewing primarily used to show the upper and lower back teeth in a single view. Bitewing x-rays detect tooth decay, bone loss, gum disease and infection. X-rays offer a broader view of teeth and jaw to check for impacted teeth, bone abnormalities, tumors, and more.
